    I love what I do - I get to meet fun amazing people in love and share in their joy of starting a new life together. I get to make people feel comfortable and show them how beautiful they are. I get to laugh, and dance and often share tears of joy with people. I get to make family heirlooms that your children's children will treasure. I love what I do and welcome the opportunity to document your love & your story.

    A little background: Before I became a photographer, I helped create video games and focused on the story telling aspects of them - the animated movies. I was also a dancer (salsa!) and am very aware of body dynamics and can help you into natural poses that let your love & beauty shine through. Click HERE to find more about me!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say ‘hola’ and that I’m still here even though I haven’t blogged in a while.  I’m thick in wedding season processing and feeling the pressure of getting all my work finished.  It has been really enlightening this year on what it takes to be a wedding photographer.  So much more happens before and after the shutter stops clicking.  It is _a lot_ of work and I’ve been heads down just trying to stay on top of it.  So I’ve been in a little hibernation mode but I’ve missed everyone.  Don’t get me wrong I LOVE what I do.  I love bringing out the best in people.  I love capturing the honest real moments, both quiet and rambunctious, that arise in every situation and person or couple or family or group.  I’ve just had to really concentrate and fill orders and haven’t had much time to blog and being social.   But that will change soon!  :)

I want to share this amazing video with you.  It makes me smile and sort of explains why I love to photograph people.  Hope it makes you smile too.  Let me know what you think!  :)

San Francisco Engagement Photography | Lizette & Rafael

September 23, 2010 ~ engagement

Meet Lizette & Rafael.  These guys are so good together.  We smiled and laughed throughout the session and had a great time getting to know each other.  Rafael is really into art (and soccer) and wanted to hit the Mission murals.  So we started there and then ended in Yerba Buena Gardens for some night shooting.

I’m so excited to shoot their wedding this weekend in wine country at the very romantic Paradise Ridge Winery.  Below are a few of my favorites from our engagement session.  Enjoy!

San Jose Engagement Photographer | Tianna & Michael

Meet Tianna and Michael.

They met their Jr. Year in High School.  He sat next to her in English class and they’ve been together ever since.  They both like watching and playing sports.    Mike loves the 49ers, Tianna doesn’t but still joins him at the games.  She’s super organized and he’s more laid back.  They love to travel to all sorts of places but also spend time cuddling at home with their new puppy.  They are a mixture of so many things and opposites in a lot of ways and they go together so well.

We had so much fun hanging out in San Jose and at one point even rolled round, literally, in the grass.  Their awesome puppy, Coco Puff, joined in on the fun too.  Looking forward to photographing their wedding next month.

This was shot just after rolling down the hill.  Love how happy and relaxed they are here!  :)  One of my favorites.

Matthias Giezendanner - Every one is a classic. You are obviously a star at allowing couples to be themselves and enjoy the process of the engagement session. I think I subconsciously measure blog posts by how many of the shots I wish were mine. In this case every single one!

What a truly amazing wedding and couple.  I feel completely blessed to have been able to get to know Sharlene & Alvin and share this wonderful day together with them and their families and friends.   Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

They were married in Mt. View with a fantastic reception at The Ranch Golf Course in San Jose.  Floral designs by Nicole Ha.    More photos to come.  Enjoy this sneak peek.

Julianna - Beautiful lighting. I recently tried that same pose with the boys all in a circle but didn’t quite get the same look. All natural light? Did you meter for there faces?
